The Flag is a book containing the suggestions from the Icelandic public, for the design of the Icelandic flag in the year 1914.
In the year 1913 a flag committee, appointed by the minister of Iceland, Hannes Hafstein, set fourth suggestions for a new national flag og Iceland, the flag we still use today. In their report there were also suggestion for the flag designs from the public. This book contains those 28 suggestions illustrated and shown together for the first time.
Besides the illustrated flags, there is also a short summary of the history of the flag committee and to top it of the book also includes some of the older flags and symbols Iceland has used through out the years.
It is 68 pages, printed using 6 Pantone colors andi is both in Icelandic and English.
