Tools you bake
Description:
For all of a century a German family named Brauer operated its foundry in Berlin. The factory had gradually accumulated a wide collection of wooden moulds previously used to form everyday objects such as hub-cabs, light shades and container lids.
These were perceived by Hrafnkell Birkisson and Sebastian Summa as an opportunity to manufacture a new product, “Tools you bake” a series of six different aluminium cake forms.
The forms give varying baked goods a distinctive appearance a boon to ambitions bakers.
