Starkadur
Description:
Starkaður is a hook that takes it’s form from a whale tooth. Icelanders hunted whales during Tinna’s upbringing and it was not unusual to see whale teeth around. Sometimes a pattern was engraved onto them so they became decorative object often placed on a shelf in the living room. In this project Tinna tried to force a function upon this beautiful organic shape.
